Former Manchester United youth player Ravel Morrison in court for threatening to throw acid on his girlfriend's face and blow up her house

Manchester Evening News - Former Manchester United player Ravel Morrison has been charged with threatening to throw acid in his ex-girlfriend’s face, blow up her house and ‘have her killed’, a court heard today.

The Premier League footballer, who now plays for West Ham United, appeared before a district judge at Manchester magistrates court today charged with two counts of common assault.

They relate to his ex-girlfriend Reah Mansoor, 19, and her mother, 39-year-old Parveen Mansoor.

An additional charge of harassment in relation to Reah Mansoor was added to the indictment during a brief court hearing this morning.

Taking somebody to court over verbal threats has to be the most chicken shit move of all time. Hey, girlfriend, mental toughness, ever fucking heard of it? You gotta be able to play through this shit. You can't go crying to a judge every time your boyfriend threatens to throw acid on your face. It was probably just an off hand remark when he was trying to watch the game and you wouldn't just shut the fuck up for 5 minutes and give him a moment of silence, and now we're getting a judge involved? Get out of my face with this shit.

Words are fucking words. They don't do anything. Ever heard the phrase "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me"? That should absolutely hold up in court. Did he throw acid on his girlfriend's face? No. Did he blow up her house? No. Did he kill her? No. So what the fuck are we even talking about? If you bitch about every threat this guy makes it'll be a little boy who cried wolf situation in no time. See how much you like it when your boyfriend actually does blow up your house and nobody comes to help because you turned to the justice system at the first hint of trouble. You have to be tougher than this, you just have to be.
