Freddy Adu signs for European superpower FK Jagodina

While IDIOTS were all worked up about DeAndre Yedlin reportedly going to Roma earlier today, somehow this bit of news slipped under the radar. How is this not a bigger deal? It's Freddy fucking Adu!! The kid who is destined to bring soccer obsession to the states is now playing for FK Jagodina, the european JUGGERNAUT. They finished third in the Serbian Superliga last year!! Third!! You don't get so close to the pinnacle of european soccer like that by recruiting any old scrubs off the street.

I gotta admit, I was doubting Adu after the whole 10 different clubs in 10 years thing and never really being "mentally tough" or "good at playing soccer," but now? After signing for this team? Ballon d'Or in the next 3 years or bust.

p.s. Is Adu supposed to be 15 or 50 now? Does anybody even fucking care?
